Post Clutch Change, Won't Start (no noise (clicking))
I have reassembled my '93 GT after replacing the quadrant, reinforcing the firewall and adding firewall cable adjuster. I had it running but couldn't get the slack out of the cable. I found out that the firewall was cracked badly & the cable assembly was trying to come through the firewall. I had to disassemble part of the lower dash, pull the steering wheel to work on repairing the firewall.
Now it won't start. No click only slight dimming of the idiot lights.
I tried readjusting the clutch interlock switch as per the Ford repair manual and it seemed to reset fine.
I've hooked up a jumper from the battery to the starter relay & it works great.
The problem is in the starting circuit. I thought maybe I forgot to reconnect something but it seems everything is connected. I do have an excess of wires from an old non-functioning burglar alarm & some kind of sound system that a prior owner installed. I don't have any reason to suspect they are the cause but it makes working in the area harder.
Thanks, Dan
