Default engine rebuilt issues

Hey guys so i just put my 86 5.0L engine back together after doing an x-303 cam, 93 cobra heads, and a cobra upper and lower intake swap. Ok so when i started it up today it was missing like a bitch. When i advanced it helped a little but it still missed bad. There is also water in the oil but i think that is because i missed some head bolts with sealant and there is also water in the upper intake but i read that it is caused by the egr and throttle body spacer gasket. So the main problem i have is the missing. Any ideas? Thanks

when using a 93 style cobra intake, they don't use the spacer....if you did, you have a cluster phak

It is a true 86 bottom end but i checked the piston to valve clearance and it was ok. The intake doesnt have the spacer and i hooked up the coolant line from the heater hose to the nipple on the throttle body plate which is where i think i got the water from. Would that cause the bad missfire too?

Update. I pit thread sealant on the head bolts and i took off the coolant line to the intake and fired her up. Now its blowing white smoke and the exhaust is extremly hot real quick. My chrome headers turned blue and even my tail pipes are hot to the touch. There is a miss now when u rev it but once it revs it seems to go away. Any ideas?

Well i timed it and holy crap it was way off. I have it timed at 12° now but there is still the miss. I think its because there is too much fuel pressure. Its at 42-45 on idle. I got that bbk regulator before realizing they are junk.
