Default Dash lights

I just picked up an 85 4 eyed foxbody and my dash lights don't work I have ordered a new switch it should be here in a couple days but just curious of where else to look if that does not solve the problem. I have power across the fuse. If that don't work then I guess I will see if I have power to the light socket it self I just didn't want to tear all that out. Thanks in advance

if the headlights turn on, its not the switch that is busted. The dash lights run through the dimmer switch, then to the dash lights. I would suspect the dimmer is at fault if there is power on the fuse. the dash is real easy to remove and takes about 15-20 mins to do.
