yes but he doesnt have 1.7s. and 1.7s dont always work correctly with aftermarket cams. it can give the cam to much lift and have issues with PTV

I think he was implying that he was going to buy some 1.7's not 100% sure but by the sounds of it he has his stock cam in there as well his heads will accept up to .575 lift stock cam i think is around .480 so he will have tonnes of PTV clearance. Even with a semi agressive cam lifting around .500 to .530 with the xtra .030 he will be safe.

stock cam is .444 or clost to that not .480

and its not just lift that determines PTV its also duration

Sorry I wasn't 100% sure about stock lift I knew it was under 480 and duration is 50 on a stock cam is it not? I think I was getting the .480 because thats what I am running with my 1.7's

Yes its the Stock Cam, And no I prolly wont be going with the 1.7's ill just stick with the 1.6's for now. Im going to buy the Edelbrock HeadBolt kit when I go to work tomarrow, So I guess im just going to have to wait A little bit longer. Even Without the 1.6s will I notice a Huge difference?

Well the 1.6 will be no difference in Hp other than if you get the roller tiped rockers which free up some but don't increase the lift. If you are going to buy new ones I would go with the 1.7's either way more lift is always awesome.

Ok, Lemme get this straight, Before I go wasting money, so you mean the 1.7 roller rockers or lifters? or both? Sorry for the Noob Question but I want to know exactly what im getting into, If I go with the 1.7's I wont have any problems with clearance or anything like that right?

How much am I looking at for the 1.7's?

Also wouldnt I need taller valve covers if I go with the 1.7's?
