Im brand new here... & I hope im posting this in the correct forum. Just bought a 92 red & white garage kept mustang 5.0 conv.
I think its the eec and am considering sending it out for rebuild - since I cann not find any matches in a scrap yard.
Here what drew me to this conclusion... Please chime in if you can help..

*no spark - no fuel - no run*

-Check engine light does not come on when ignition switch is placed to on.
-power good to eec coming out of relay
-12 volts @ icm, but no ground - this ground seems to come from eec
-12 volts @ fuel pump relay - again the ground signal should come from the eec. not present. The pump does not run for a few secs when key is turned. the pump runs when relay is jumped.
-the grounds are good coming into the eec via harness and ground connection in vicinity of eec is good.

ebay should have plenty of ecms.....a9p for auto or a9l for manual. also have rebuilding services there too....or try craigs list

I bought my reman. A9P from Autozone for $99. That was 5 yrs ago though, but it's been fine.
