Default need help in some differences

What is the difference between the regular 5.0 and the HO 5.0?
What is the difference between the factory motor and a ford direct crate motor?
What is the differences between the 8.8" rear end and the 9" rear end? What are the pros and cons for each different rear end?

Default RE: need help in some differences

1)I am not 100% sure of all the differences of ths question I know that the cams are different along with the heads and intake flow's and firing order. As for internals I am not sure.
2) haaha what isnt the difference pending on what crate motor you are getting if you are getting a direct replacement its the same if you are going with a GT-40 you are getting alum heads, Forged internals, more agressive cam. Have to specify more
3) I think the 9 is heavier than the 8 for a con but that heavyness makes it alot more durable and able to withstand. I think they have more splines on their axles as well and the internals are different? I am not 100% sure on this one though most peopel are more than happy with the 8.8
