91 vert tailpipe smoking

I just rebuilt the engine and after finally timing it I went to drive it to test the clutch tension and the exhaust popped and is now dumping out white smoke and idle is now surging. I have 24lb injectors and the rest is stock. Any ideas What might be causing This?

Backfire in intake = too lean...backfire in exhaust = too rich.

White smoke, that's weird but sounds like head gasket leak.

sounds like it's misfiring.........check all plug wires...make sure none got burnt on the exhaust..........if all tune up parts are good and verified good, check rocker adjustment.......and or compression test..........could be a lot of things...not enough info provided to narrow it down..I assume your maf is set up for 24's?

I have the air tube for 24s. At this point I know I have one leaking injector because a I have a wet spark plug but every other plug is completely black so why is it running so rich if it's timed and I have the air tube for 24s? Can one bad injector cause that?
