I posted a week or so ago about a problem I was having with my stang, extremely low idle/dying, here is the thread: https://mustangforums.com/m_731612/tm.htm

Anyway, problem is still there, I've cleaned everything, replaced my plugs/wires/cap/rotor, everything.... I think it might be a blown intake gasket, I get that whistling/hissing sound that comes from right in my intake.

My question is, would this cause all the symptoms I've been having? Low idle, backfiring (especially when motor is cold), power brakes not working half the time (bad vaccum?), I havnt been able to witness it, but something is getting oil(or some other oily substance) all over the front of my motor, just a thin sheen of it.

I'm running out of ideas, so hopefully this is it... is there any way to check without actually removing the intake?

Yeah if the intake is leaking thats like a huge vaccum leak, its a easy fix do it up
