Exclamation 95 gt Oil Pressure goes to Zero Guage works fine

Just changed the oil pump in my car because when I start it, it runs fine and after like 10 min the oil pressure will drop to0 and won't go back up. I hear the engine making a lot of noices under the valve covers so I know ita not getting oil. Again already replaced the pump should I replace the pickup tube or is this a bigger problem ty.

time to test the pressure with a mechanical gauge. if it has good pressure then fix your factory gauge/sender/cluster. if not, time to crack that 5.0 open and inspect for main bearing wear, or a broken cam retention place under the timing cover

it directs oil from a passage to the front cam journal, i have seen them crack and cause a low oil pressure concern due to the bleed off.

How many miles on this motor ?

And I agree, time for an accurate mechanical oil pressure test go verify.

I would say the noise under the valve covers verifies an actual low pressure state and I don't know if I would even start it again before checking stuff out. Just sayin.

typically if you starve the engine that bad I would assume you would spin a rod pretty quickly. it wouldn't take much to kill all the bearings. plus I don't know how you would have pressure up until it got to running temp then drop off.
OP are you seeing it gradually drop off or is it all at once that it goes from ?? to 0?
