Not real sure what your saying. If the tube came out put it back in so oil doesn't go everywhere. If it's broke off and part of the tube is still there het an easy out and tap it into the tube and extract it.

the entire tube comes out of the hole. i normally just put it back in, but its not a tight fit by any means. is it supposed to be like that? perhaps because the bracket at the top of the tube is broke it allows this to happen? (the support bracket at top that is supposed to bolt to the block(or the head, cant recall))

Tube might be wore out or out of round. Try putting a little gasket sealer on it before you put it in. The bracket that holds it in place would keep it from moving and falling out again. Sounds like it's time for a new dipstick assembly to me.

get an aftermarket piece, like the lokar dipstick. Change your oil, add the right amount of oil to the engine and mark the dipstick....

...done.
