I have been thinking bout getting a stang, preferabley the 89 to 93 era cause i like the body style and i just got a thing for the 3 aught duece!!! In the end I might run the car at the track but i want a daily driver, and i want a procharger prolly p-1sc the 8 to 10 psi kit. I didnt think cars came with forged crank and rods much after like 73....guess i am dating myself here. I would really like forged internals just as insurance for the procharger. Is it true 93's are that hypere...whatever and not forged? anybody know why i can go to get proof? Cause if this is the cause i'll look for a 92.</P>

I'm not really concerned much with times, just want a reliable car to drive daily that when i get led foot syndrome and drop the hammer i can smoke the tires off the rim...well almost at least. and i really personally like forged better than hyper.... although if i was at the track i would be happy with high 12's low 13's

you can to that with a stock 5.0 withonly i few mods not shore about the 93 hyper. pistons or forged or not i know up to 92s where you can instiil a low h.p.nos kit that will give you good results.wih a fordged pisttions a blower would be on all the time and cost a lot more<edited><editID>hotrodman</editID><editDate>37980.0384837963</editDate></edited>

I posted my question to see what kind of internals foxbodies had on xmas... cause i heard a rumor some might have forged. And nobody has answered my question.... I get all kinds of answers to my questions about 89 TTA's, so I might get one of those cause i have a more reliable source on the turbo 3.8 i guess!!!!!

i think that(not shure) 89-92 comes with forged pistons but cast crank. With a blower the most important thing is it to be tuned right.

yes, 93 came stock with hypers.</P>


theres 2 different types of turbo ta's...the first was a turbo 301 and it blew goats, then theres the pretty damn rare 3.8 turbo ta(gn engine) and those could smoke pretty good</P>

yes the TTA, Regal T-type, Grand Nationals, and GNX all had the turbo 3.8 there are some small differences but basically same.
