Default 331 Dyno numbers.

I just took my 91 gt to the Dyno and I'm really confused by the numbers it put down. I feel like something isn't right somewhere but I'm not certain. It's a new level 20 dss 9.3:1 331 stroker. AFR 185's, xe 274 hr, systemax intake, 30lb injectors, 255 pump. Im running a clutch fan, and a tko 600. Mac ceramic shorties, magnaflow off-road x, dynomax ultraflow catback. 3.55 gears. The car made 325whp and 359tq on a dynojet Dyno. Tuned by cinci speed. Me and the guy who built the motor feel like the hp numbers are off by 35-45. It's really driving us nuts because we just expected more from this combo. Some people with the exact combo are making 360-380 at the wheels. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Why the low compression, are you planning to add boost down the road ?

Sharp car by the way, very nice.......

Edit: Just looking at your gragh pic, when I zoom up on the AF lines, it looks like your AFR is 10.20, is that correct or am I reading that wrong ?

13.20 sir. Low compression because yes, did have a vortex have a vortech v3-sci for it but ended up selling the unit because a buddy of mine slapped one on his car and had all kinds of problems with it going through belts. Come to find out, those entry level vortechs are bad about that. So I sold it. I think a 150 shot will be better for this car anyway. Car runs very very strong right now. It does not feel like 325hp! Feels like more. And thanks for the compliment, it just got painted and I put the new 331 in it, new tko, new McLeod clutch, new aluminum driveshaft. New trak lock and forged axles.

if it feels good take it to the track and run it dont get all caught up in the dyno # The dyno is just another tool not the real track.

Agree 100% but still just worried that something isn't right. Either with my combo, their Dyno or their tune. I don't want to be leaving power on the table, that's all. I've just seen others with this combo put down 360-380 with equal tq on dynojets, not mustang dynos.

run it at the track....if it disappoints there..........low compression will be a factor....after that possible cam and intake swap...........most likely a combination of the 3.............I run a stock block 347 with very little tuning and a full street trim it has run low 11's with traction issues on the motor......on a 100 shot it has run 10.70's with traction issues

I agree, a couple runs down the 1/4 and then you'll know for sure.

Trap speeds don't lie, dynos do....

Are there any tracks around you that are still open ? That may be a dumb question, but my local tracks closed months ago, and we just got 18" of snow just south of me. I don't know what your normal winter weather is like.

Nice looking car.

Dyno results vary from shop to shop.
