Default tranny question

i have a 95 gt engine has close to 100.00 thousand on it runs strong , but the tranny slipps . its a auto so at about 47 to 50 mph it wants todrop down in to 3rd gear. so what i need is info on if it may be a sensor, or just tired. soetimes it will go a week with out slipping . but its time for a new tranny . i was thinking a new tranny ith a good torq cnverter , any thoughts on what i should get , again ita a 4 speed auto 5.0. thanks

Slipping is usually a sign that the friction plates or bads are going south.

first replace fliud and filter look at the pan for band wear,invest in a trans cooler asap!
