Default Check Engine light from new mass air meter

Anyone know why I keep getting a check engine light after installing a new BBK 76mm MAF calibrated for cold air and 19lb injectors? I install it and the CEL comes on and the idle surges. Please help.

Didnt I suggest that you get rid of it, and get an SN-95 70mm?

Pretty sure I did.

You have to pull codes before even beginning to guess what might be tripping it.

Seeing as how mostly everyone who has gotten this product is very satisfied with it, I'd like to keep and it's 76mm opposed to the sn95 70mm. Does anyone think that adjusting the idle and TPS voltage will be the answer? I've never done either on my car yet.

Nope. And you wouldn't lose anything by running a 70mm maf. You aren't making enough power for it to be a restriction.

But since we're on the topic of reviews, I want you to consider WHO exactly writes the reviews on products like that meter. You are reading posts from people like the cashier at you local staples, and the stock boy at walmart.

Where as, you won't read reviews from people like myself who own a tuning business, because if you took a stroll into my shop with that meter... I'd tell you to throw it away and put a factory meter on the car.

Hell, I have an account with BBK and can get their meters cheap.

I still don't sell them. And for good reason.

Hmmm interesting, well where do you suggest I get the sn95 maf setup? An adapter will probably be needed as well, right? Also, I hope it would fit my BBK cold air.
