I believe 2:73's were stock. And it sounds like your going to need to replace the worn out clutch packs in that rearend to get power to both tires again.
I just did mine last summer and it's not that bad of a job. Smelly, but not bad.

Any tips on what I need to buy? I'm an Electrician/ Instrument Tech. LOL. I do come from a family of mechanics though. I chose a different career path.

I just bought the kit from LMR website, I went with the stock fiber replacements, not the carbon fiber ones, unless you want to go that route. They also have a video on they're website of step by step process on how to do it. You can also Google, or search this forum for "clutch pack" topics and be reading for days. If you can turn a screw driver,you can do this without much trouble.
