Default 1/4 and wieght

So i have about a 100 pound sound system in my trunk and was wonderin if it would be better to leave it in there for traction or to take it out cause of the wait. I have it out right now and i launch at about 2 grand and i spin a lil so i was thinkin if i put em back in i wouldnt spin but thats alot of wait draggin me down so should i keep em out or put em back in before i go to the track?

i guess the 100 pounds will let you hook up easier since its weight on the front but thats also 100 pounds to drag which i think takes off maybe a little less that 1/10th of a second.

Leave it out when racing. A good launch comes with sticky tires and traction bars.

A 100lbs is worth a tenth of a sec in the 1/4. Get a good set of tires to launch better.

if the system is loose they probably wont even let you run with it in your trunk. no speaker boxes allowed at my track i always take mine out but it only weighs about 42#s

it has to be strapped/bolted in.the track won't take chances of something flying around in the car.

fox bodys dont need traction bars. leaf spring cars can use them but there are alot better things on the market now then traction bars...aka slapper bars. for foxs/sn95/newedge they all can benefit from good set of control arms and shocks/springs
