Default newbie here 89gt 1st mods

I just picked up an 89 mustang gt im looking at getting exhaust but the options are great im not new into the car world just the mustang i dont want a flowmaster system i have been looking at mac or magnaflow what are the pro and cons of these systems i want a real deep and throughty sound,also i will be using an x pipe and shortie headers,also what do you think about the bbk's new intake manifold,also what cam would be the best it will be street driven i want the nastyest cam that i can street

magnas to me sound way better than the macs. i am a slp fan personally check them out too.

i work for ford everyone is telling me x pipe makes more power they say get 3.77 gears 4.10 are to much for the street but that was on a charged 93 cobra...

i would bet almost 80% of your modded stangs round this board are running 4.10 or a 3.73.

Doing a full exhaust is a great first mod, makes your car sound great and it gives you about 10-15 hp. IDK, about just a catback though.

I just got the pypes cat back with x pipe for less than 400 i know i know its an off brand but i heard this system with the new violator muffler and its badass a little loud but it sounds just nuts

just ordered a cold air,exhaust with x pipe 4.10 gears and a cam any ideas on hp?

X pipe does make more power but not enough to really matter. There is no 3.77 gear ratio - 3.08, 3.27, 3.55, 3.73, 4.10, 4.30, 4.56, 4.88, and 5.13. Getting the 4.10s is a good choice. But H/X pipe is really personal preference - and I prefer the sound of the H.

Edit: What cam did you get?
