Underdrive Pulleys worth it in my situation?

Underdrive Pulleys worth it in my situation?
I've been debating it for a long time now. I can't decide if it'd be a good or bad idea to pick up pulleys. I have a 3G 130 amp alternator, an aluminum radiator, and a new water pump less than a year old (never had overheating problems, even in the summer). People say that your battery will discharge with the stock alternator and underdrive pulleys, but I shouldn't have to worry about that with my alternator, right? Also, they'd normally make the car run hotter as well but my cooling system is all in working order with no problems. I figure I'll get mixed responses so go ahead and let me know what you guy's think.

I think they make the engine look cool, very minimal return for the money when it comes to scavenging a couple hp though.
I had em on my 86 with stock alt and never had charging problems or overheating issues. I even had an electric fan that ran 100% with the key on and never drained the battery. As long as your cooling system is up to snuff it wont overheat, and as long as your not trying to power some 1000 watt subs at idle its not an issue.

if you run quality pulleys like the steeda set, you will have no issues, just steer clear of the bolt on to your stock pulley (piggyback) type. on a side note, if you ever intend to supercharge your car, the pulleys will have to be taken off and the stock ones put back on.

I've ran the March Performance Power & Amp underdrive pulleys for 13 years with the stock water pump and stock alternator and I've never had a cooling problem even in stop and go traffic with the outside temp between 95 and 100 degrees, and I've never had a charging even with the stock alternator.

Wow thanks everyone for the input, I do not do that much stop and go driving. I commute with my fox 5 days a week and I think I stop no more than 10 times in a 50 mile round trip with a good portion of it being highway miles. I'm not getting piggyback style ones, I do plan on getting quality ones with good reviews. There's kits for 87-93s but since I have the 3G alternator you guys think I'll have to buy a separate alternator pulley?
