how fast will my 5.0 go
My car does 14.2 & 96 mph in the 1/4 the engine rpms are around 5000 when i go threw the traps the i have 410 gears. oviously im still in fourth gear. i havnt had the car at its max speed yet in 5th gear. does anyone know ?

that seems fast for 4th gear.
even with my stock 308 gears I could only go to 140 in 5th, the engine wouldnt pull any more.
but that was when the engine was old and stock.
with my 3.73 gears, and a new engine, 4th gear goes up to mabye 130 and 4th goes really fast, mabye 160.

My father got caught doing 148 in what is now my car. (this was like 10 years ago)
I have heard of some foxes breaking 150 with a stock motor.
EDIT:Remeber the new law (at least in FL) if you get caught 120 or over, you go right to jail.

thats it, you guys are lucky, here if you double the speed limit they take your car and sell it at a police auction, and take your licence away for 1 year, and you go to jail.
but we already know a 5.0 can outrun any police interceptor.
unless it is a california highway patrol 5.0.

I can give proof to that. There would be about 5 occasions to be exact where the good ol' Piggies went home empty handed w/ their pride broken.
