As I come close to cruising the coast 2016, i am doing some tweaking i wanted to fix any problem that is wrong with my droptop 87. For some reason gears scratch on 3rd and 4th no matter what the rpms are. i need to get this problem fixed. Dont want to go down there with the bowties and look bad. Help......!!!???

rebuild tranny, bad blocker rings and the gear hub synchro teeth need to be inspected for those gears to see if they are mushroomed flat

We're assuming this is a manual transmission correct ?

It your AOD is doing this, your TV cable is disconnected or broken. Don't drive the car till this is fixed.

well, Down goes frazier. Tranny went out last week good thing i wasnt far from home. I took it out and it was a mess. Im trying to find a place online with good rebuilt trannys for a good price. any ideas??

I'd just fine a local shop with a good reputation and bite the bullet. Shipping costs would be costly.
