Checked TDC at the crank with no1 piston position and rotor position all good...Checked fire at all 8 plugs all good.....Same carb that was running correctly B4..also replaced dizzy stator but im getting fire so assume that is also good.....Im out of ideas LOL

When you checked timing marks, were you sure #1 cyl. was at TDC on compression stroke ?

Sounds like dizzy is off 180'.

It is very easy to get that dist off one tooth. I would restab it to be sure. There is an excellent write up on it in the stickies I believe.

Default OK

I checked compression and all 8 were between 120-130 considering this is a 100k mile car I guess that's no too bad....? Getting fuel fouled plugs and going to use to non foulders to see if I can get this to run...

"Non Foulders" are not going to help, they only fit the 7.3 diesels and are very expensive............lol

You didn't try to advance or retard the timing on the chain did you?

Ok. I tried advancing my timing on my chain by 3 degrees once (YES I DID IT RIGHT, you cant screw it up), turned it by hand to make sure it was good, and then it wouldn't start. I had to play with the distributor to get it to finally start annnnnnnd bent all of my push rods on the intake side. Don't know why it happened, but it did. Put the chain back to factory spec and it started right up even with the bent rods.

OP, you probably checked this already, but I have to ask. Your using the 5.0 HO firing order and the wires are routed correctly ?
