Default 7.5 Traction Lok spider gears

Has anyone replaced their spider gears in a 7.5 traction lok ? I read that they are different from an open 7.5 gears, which is all I can find online. Everything specifies open rearend when shopping.

I can't believe I can't find a replacement set for the Traction Lok.

Thanks dawson, appreciate the link.

But let me explain a little better now that I calmed down. I bought my wife a really nice looking 82 T-top with a 351 already swapped in and running. Car performed great during test drive and the hour long drive home. Once home she took the kids for a ride to show off her new wheels. When she came back she there's a click in the rearend. I drove it around the yard and sure enough, loud metal on metal binding when turning. Pulled cover off to find a ton of slop on the spiders. Even to the point where they started wearing into the S spring. So I started looking online and researching my options. Every online store or ad for a spider gear kit specifies "open" rear end. I'm just trying to find out if there is a difference between spider gears for a Traction Lok and and open rear end. If found a couple threads that state they are different. But how can they not sell a set for the Traction Lok ????

Thanks

It's still a stock 28 spline with 3:73 gears. Summit Racing, LMR, CJ Pony all have the spider gear kit that replace all 4 spider gears. But the specify they're only for an open rearend. Nothing for the Traction Lok.

Well I can tell you for sure that the open spider gears are different, because the Trac loc spiders are splined for the clutch packs. Give me some time Im usually pretty good at finding hard to find parts.

I think the problem is they stopped making those,, you can buy the spring loaded 7.5 carrier but I dont know about just getting the spiders for a trac loc 7.5

CRAP !!! lol. I looked for a long time also. Came up empty. I just can't believe they don't make them. I believe they made the 7.5 Traction Lok from 81 - 85. You'd think someone had to have something.

Thanks again for your help. But I'll keep trying....
