Throttle sticking?

Throttle sticking?
What causes the gas pedal to stick a little bit? Right at the top You have to kinda press a little bit harder then normal and then breaks free and it's good. My wifes Bonneville does it and my boys 99 F-150 4x4 5.4 ext cab and his 87 mustang Gt does it very little and my other boys 88 mustang Gt does it the worst and being stick shift it's gets pretty jumpy. Is there something to do with the throttle bodies that causes this? Any help would be great I tried spraying the throttle cables and linkage if you wanna call it that. Thanks. One more question is mass air flow better then What my boys Mustangs have? They don't have mass air flow meters in them. If mass air flow is better can I switch them over fairly easy?

clean the inside of the throttle body. The build up causes some of those problems. My 93 GT does that too but since I have a coating on the inside of my throttle body I cant clean it with a rag and carb cleaner.
Your 89 doesnt have that coating so you can just spray it up and clean it.

Or try adjusting the throttle stop screw on the TB out some and see if that helps..
