will crown victoria tranny work?

im 15 and am redoing a 1990 gt 5.0 convertible for my 16th birthday. my dad is gettin me a tranny out of a crown victoria and i am wondering if there will have to be any little modifications i will do. if anyone can let me know id eally appreciate it. thanks...

i believe its alittle longer. but there is adude on here with a vic and he could tell you better
