Ok i started to remove the head from my 86 gt and got all head bolts out and the header unhooked and i cant get it to come off. it is the head on the driver side of the car. it looks like you have to take the ac bracket off to get it off. can anyone tell me if that is correct. looks like one bolt and some really long piece of all thread that must adjust the position of the ac pump. do i have to take that long threaded piece out as well? or just the bolt. tell me what you all think.

you need to remove everything that is mounted to the heads to remove them

I just removed mine about 2 weeks ago. I disconnected all the accessories at the top of the engine to make removal easier.

its going to be exciting getting this thing back together with all the stuff that i have to take off. better get me a hayes manual..
