Default t-s question help plz

ok heres the deal ive searched alot about this and still havent got a straight answer .will the 2.3 litre t-5 work in my 94 gt?what exactly is the difference between the two and if it will work what kind of mods could it handle thanx again guys............................chris<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>94gtchris</editID><editDate>37983.8384375</editDate></edited>

No! it would work but things wouldnt be right. the tranny would break because it would not hold as much torque as the 5.0 version. the tip of the input shaft is smaller and would not ride in your piolt bearing. in 94 and 95 the speedometer gear in the tranny was different also. i think that the 93 and back had 7 groves and the 94 up had 8 so if you did use that you would have to change that. find a 5 speed out of a wreck 94 or 95 and get from the bellhousing back and it shold work. and remeber to change the fluid in it.</P>

NO IT WON'T WORK B/C WE TRIED IT ON THE 89 AND I THINK IT BOLTED UP BUT SOMETHING WAS FED UP YOU WOULD DO BETTER TO GET A TREMEC OR THE TKO THE T-5'S SUCK BREAK TO MUCH!

not made for that much torque. i have never had any problems with my t-5's i guess it is just how you take care of them.
