This may very well become an opinion post, but today I was thinking, when upgrading your 5.0's top end, what is a better upgrade choice to do first, the camshaft, or new heads? I'm fully aware they piggy back off eachother big time and you need to make sure your valves will clear, but say you already have all that factored and you're just trying to decide what component to buy first. Which one will yield more power out of the two?
agreed, heads then cams. Heads are way more labor intensive than cams so, if you do the heads first, you can then upgrade the cam when you get more time/funds/or the bug.
Cam shafts are relatively cheap for the 302's aren't they? It's been a few years since I last bought one, but I remember they were only around 200 dollars for an off the shelf one.
