It's been a little time since my last post, but I wanted to make sure the end to the story was posted. After spending $70 at the computer store getting the capacitors replaced (which didn't fix the ECU...see earlier post), I dropped the ECU off to my local Napa dealer. Napa charged me $138 for the repair and $25 for shipping which ended up at $168 out the door for everything. The ECU was sent from Napa to Cardone and repaired by Cardone. The repair took about two weeks from drop off to pick up. Once the ECU was received, I went home plugged it in and presto I'm back running. Thanks to everyone for their help and input!

So it was the ecu afterall,but it was something besides the capacitors?? The signal return trace might've been burnt or a transistor might've been bad?? You didn't mention checking the trace or whether the technician checked it on the first try.So Cardone repaired your actual ecu and sent it back to you rather than replacing it?? Its too bad they didn't send a repair invoice with the ecu,to show you what was replaced/repaired.Im always curious what the cause of specific driveability issues was that are ecu related,besides the caps.Oh well,glad to hear you got it going again and thanks for the update.
