Hey guys...
well.... i am knew jsut got my stang... and love the damn thing... i think its the best car ever built! lol... anyways... my question is... i bought the car from a good freinds grandpa it has been babied since it rolled out of the showroom... great condition... only parts it has is the basics, 3:73 gears, high-flow h-pipe with flowmaster cat backs, and a ripper shifter... MAN that thing moves... but i know its not that fast! theres better ones out there... anyways... i have a freind with a SRT-4 that thinks he will clean my slate... iam not sure... they are fast but i mean my car moves to.... who yah think will win? then also anyone raced a silverado SS? another freind has that... its a truck i should clean him out... hope its not confusing to read...

you will take the srt 4 off the light but in a 1/4 he'll beat ya. my cousin has 1 with a stage 2 and he runs 12.8. we raced a saleen a couple weeks ago and won by half a length. sickening to think a neon can do that!

well i dont think you will take the srt-4 but the truck you should have, i have a lot done to my car and it not as fast as i would like it to be but its a hell of a lot faster than stock.

you might have a chance against the srt as long as its not a stage2-3

remeber its all about the driver.

I would start looking into more mods if you want to beat a SRT-4. They are far from slow and they move in them upper RPM's.

put that stang on a drag radial or Cheater slick, get yourself a gallon of VHT (trackbite) and drive the wheels off the stang, and you will beat the neon. if he launches under boost, he wont hook unless hes on some kinda tire.
i got it done with my 85, just had headers, hpipe/flows, 235 M/T's, and full on powershifting with a 4500 launch after a good burnout and like i said, some VHT.
