T5 gear ratio

T5 gear ratio
I have a '94 Cobra and my buddy has a '94 GT he has converted into a Cobra. By that I mean he has added Cobra heads and intake. We have all the same mods(B303 cam, 3.73 gears, FMS underdrive pulleys, Megabite Jr. rear upper and lower control arms). For some reason he stills pulls me just a bit at the drag strip. The only thing that is different, that I can think of anyway, is the transmissions. Does the T5 come with different gear ratios for the GT and the Cobra? We have had the cars dyno'ed, on the same dyno, and there was only a 2 HP difference. I had 2 more HP than he did. How is he still pulling me at the track?

RE: T5 gear ratio
We have the exact setup. I know the 2 HP difference isn't important. The point I was making with that is they have equal HP. I just was wondering if the T5 in his car had different gears in than my Cobra. His car originally came with 2.73 gears and mine came with 3.08's. He seems to be able to put his HP down to the ground a little faster than I can. We have the same drivetrain from the clutch back except that his T5 is a GT one and mine is a Cobra one.

RE: T5 gear ratio
I know we are both running 3.73 rear gears. Does anyone know for sure if the T5 in his car has different gears than the T5 in my car? Like I said originally, his T5 is for the Mustang GT and mine is for the Cobra. His original rear gear was 2.73 and mine was 3.08.
