reliabilty of stroker motors
this for all you guys with 331s and 347s. How many miles do you guys have on these motors. The reason im asking is because i drive my cobra everyday it isnt raining or snowing, and im starting to get ready to make some decisions on building a new motor for my babi. Im just not sure if i should build a nice 306 or a nice stroker or motor. If i do go stroker i just want to make sure it can handle the miles. Thanks all

RE: reliabilty of stroker motors
1500 miles on my professionally built Eagle rods and pistons 347.
Its blowing blue smoke now above 4k rpm, but this is because i dogged it way too soon. Dont be an idoit like me and make sure you break in your motor nice and slow.[]

RE: reliabilty of stroker motors
I dont have personal experience, I would of but thanks to stanglx2002 I am not now (90% sure going w/ the 357 ) but anywayyy... ive heard that the 347's are not as reliable as 331. Ive heard that 347's need refreshening at about 30,000 - 40,000 where as a 331 will go to 70,000-80,000 w/ no problem. Ive heard this from numerous sources but dont take my word for it, thats just what ive heard.
