Anybody have a noisy fuel pump??

Hello,
I own a 95 gt and just wondering if it is normal to have a "whining" fuel pump. Its really hums back there and is very noticable. It has done this for a while now and just wondering if this is "normal".... Is it time to replace it? Thanks

i had that same problem and was told that is not normal. i swapped out the stock pump for a high output 255 lph pump and it is way quieter

yep every ford with efi ive heard is noisy. my new pump is noticable to a point but my old 88lph was loud

okay, well that is good to know. It has been loud for a while, but no problems. Actually its been loud ever since i have owned it (3 years). I will probaly just leave it until it goes.... thanks

Yea, I just removed the stock fuel pump out of my 88 a couple days ago and that thing was LOUD! I always thought that something was wrong with mine but it seemed to be working fine so I never touched it. But yes, everyone Ive heard with a stock pump is loud.
