RE: LT headers good deal or no..
Im bringing this post back because i need some answers on the worth of LT headers. I know the make more power than equals but how much more. as of right now im thinking they're not worth it because i have smog laws which means i'll have to buy a catted and non-catted h-pipe.

Regardless of the brand, LT's will not provide that much difference on a stock motor. However as more mods are done i.e. H/C/I the benefit of LT's vs Shorties will be realized.
IDK anything about flow tech products but IMO if your are going to get LT's, get a good set of ceramic coated ones. You don't want to have to keep replacing these type of headers as the labor is not as easy as shorties.

I have Flowtech's on my my LS1's and am very happy them. They went in fine, don't leak and the ceramic coating is holding up well (I don't really drive it in rain or snow though). Now I know this on a different car but the quality of them is fine. There are other companies that make more exspensive headers (Kooks for one) that are stainless steel and this would be my choice if money was no object and I drove the car in bad weather. To me it looks like the price is right on them and they should be fine, just remember that they will not last forever.
