My tranny broke again.. for like the sixth time.... a friend of mine had a Tranny laying around in his garage that he said had less than 3000 Miles on, so he gave it to me for $400, I began taking my old tranny out and when I put the old one and new one side by side I relized something different about them. Theres one that has a Sensor input on the top plate and one without.

Can I just swap the two top plates off with no problem?

did the one you took out of your car have the sensor?

Yes.

hmm you probably dont need it for the tranny to do its job but if you can swap it over i would. is that the reverse sensor?

I dont think its the reverse sensor, It looks like it has to do with oil of some sort.

Reason I say that is because it has a little ball bearing in the sensor input.

the only thing for a manual is the reverse sensor,and the vehical speed sensor..common for cars with cruise,and mass air equipped?

Its not Mass Air. What do you think it is? You dont I can just trow it in without the sensor in? It does have cruise control but I never use it. What do you think the sensor is or does?
