Default Suggestions on engine rebuild.

Ok I plan rebuilding my engine soon, and need your advice. I am on a limited budget but still want to rebuild my engine. Ok I am either going to rebuild it to a 306 and use the extra money for a cam and intake manifold. Or spend all 1,000 on a 347 stroker. Do you think I will regret not getting the 347? Or should I just go with the 306? Let me know what you think.

The horse power is in the heads, 306 will be ok, 347 is for a heavy car plus 347s are good for spliting blocks.

I would stay at 306 and use the $$$$$$ for better equipment. Any SBF can be split in 2 anyway if you get nutty driving them.
I would use forged pistons and Eagle rods for starters. Don't know what part of the country you are in but you may even look for a Mexican block........

Well i could get a good forged 306 rebuild kit for like $500 then put in a new cam and later buy some good heads, or spend $1000 on the 347. I think im gonna get the 306.

First question. Is this just gonna be a go mostly daily driven weekend warrior or are you planning on going all out drag? And for the price, you can normally get a stroker kit for the same price as a 306 kit. And where are you getting a forged 306 kit? Sounds a bi cheap to me. Remember when building a car, a budget is ok but dont go to cheap that you may sacrifice your engine in the process.
