u need front springs, double hump crossmember, front and rear swaybars, 8.8 inch rear end is suggested, of course motor- computer- wiring harness, different tranny, i would swap the tach as the 4 cyl only reads up to 6000 rpms i believe, driveshaft, suspension upgrades like bushings- endlinks- control arms. Thats all off the top of my head. I did this before with a donor car i bought. Never had any problems with the car after the conversion. Good luck.

I heard a few years ago that it is almost always cheaper to just buy a crapppy 5.0 and just transfer the stuff from the 4 cyl car that you like. Maybe now the 5.0s are getting rarer, and it is more worth all the cost and trouble. Lots of work either way...

you may have to relocate the tranny crossmember mounting points also.

Its not that hard at all if u have a donor car. I bought a great looking for cylinder about 3 years ago and used it for the gas mileage. Last summer I bought a donor 5.0 and just transferred everything I needed. You would never be able to tell it used to be a four cylinder and it runs great. The best thing is I use that 4 cyl VIN and get cheap insurance costs.

I've heard you have to swap the whole gauge cluster.

Absolutely not true. U only have to swap out the tach. The only other thing i can think of is maybe a speedo gear depending on the gauge but i didnt have to do this cuz it was already correct
