The only thing about getting a CAI intake is if you live in a Smog legal city and the intake you buy doesnt have the C.A.R.B. sticker on it, it wont pass smog and if a cop decides to take a look under your hood he can flag you for a ticket.
not only that but myself and 2 other guys i know got some CAI off ebay anf the brackets broke not long after the install (mine lasted 2 hours...this was on the focus by the way, have a MAC CAI on the stang) i fixed it though, welded some new brackets on and it's solid now ...but you still get what you pay for.

and for further refference, a CAI on a fox adds approximetly 1 hp compared to a K&N panel filter ...so do yourself a favor and just get the panel filter instead.

I dont think anyone goes to look for a CAI to add Serious horsepower, In my opinion its mostly show, for looks. The only main difference is the type of filters they use, I just bought a K&N to go with my BBK intake.

Most of those HP ratings that you see on performance websites are based on engines that already produce alot of HP. You can pretty much bet that if it says you will gain 5 - 10 HP, that a stock car will get the 5 HP and the car with more HP will get the 10 HP.

Just buy yourself a quality namebrand CAI off Summit and save yourself the hassle of poor quality and the chance of rust.

They dont really make a differnce all it is, is a steel tube with a high flow filter.
I got this one because I like the color.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

The filter is crappy so im going to put the K&N that I got. The BBK is just way to expensive, I dont feel like paying $200 for some tubing and filter.
