ya, dont drink when you do it, I was kinda drunk when I did my first cam, and the next day it was ready to fire.
BUT I couldnt remember if I torqued the cam bolt, or even put it back on.
so I ripped it back apart, and I did it, but its good to be safe.

take your time and do it right the first time, I took a week on my first cam change.
use silicone around the water ports on the lower intake.
empty the coolant and oil .

take off the timing cover before the lower intake to try to drain most of the coolant from the lower.

good luck.

Dont drain the oil, after you get it all put back together, run it for 10 or so minutes, then change the oil, otherwise you will waste an oil change because there is always a little coolant in the oil system from pulling the intake. When I did my cam, I had to remove the radiator, heat exchanger, and I think i had to jack up the enginea little to get enough room for the cam to go in through the front grill.

Oh yeah when pulling it out be gentle , same with putting it back in. If you hold your tongue just right its easy they are pretty easy to install its getting down to the cam thats the hassle

you wont have to jack the engine up, with the rad and a/c condenser out it will come out easily.

and ya, I forgot about the oil, I had to do 3 oil changes before all the coolant was out of the oil.
but I took off my lower intake off before the timing cover, so there was coolant in the intake still.

if you do the water pump/timing cover first, it is possible to keep all the coolant out of the lifter valley.
