Cam Selection

I'm in the middle of getting all the parts for my first build up and i'm having some trouble with my cam selection. i'm just trying to get a quick responsive daily driver together that will still do good in the mpg and can have some fun on the weekends with, plus it needs to pass cali smog. right now Iâ€™ve got:
fresh ford shortblock
iron gt40 heads (most likely going out to thumper for porting)
edelbrock performer manifold
bbk 65 mm tb + egr
76 mm C&L maf and tube

i was thinking of going with an e cam and call it a day but i was also thinking of just using the stock cam with 1.7 RR on it. help!

you could do either 1.7 on a stock cam is like .468 I think

Is car stick or automatic? What is weight of car? What is rear end ratio?

5 speed. idk about weight, its not a track car or anything and it still has stock gears in it.

First, since you dont have gears I would drop some 3:73's in there. Second, I wouldnt leave the stock cam in there. You should get a nice E-303. They are awsome street cams and will make hp down low and up top.
