After 3.73's 5th still for MPG?

After 3.73's 5th still for MPG?
Stupid Question... I know that 5th is commonly for better gas mileage, and you'll go faster in 4th, but once you out in 3.73's is it still the same case, or should I still remain in 4th for better performance?
