DAMN!
V8's with open headers sound so good. I just rebuilt the Pontiac 400 in my '65 and ran it on the stand with Hooker long-tubes...<IMG src=smileys/smiley3.gif border="0"><IMG src=smileys/smiley3.gif border="0">is all you can say. It sounds so damn good and healthy, and you can feel it in your bones when you rev it up. LOUD AND IN CHARGE!!

I have a recording of when my engine was fired with open headers. I'll try and put in on the computer somehow. The hooker super comps with 3" collectors wew that thing was crazy. You can hear my machanic say before he starts it: "Hey you guys plug your ears" It wasnt that bad at idle but after 4 grand and up itbecame kinda deafening.
