I ran one for about a year and hated every minute of it.
First you have to have the 4 Banger yolk for the driveshaft so it doesn't leak the fluid out.
Second the gearing is so different. V8 T-5 2nd gear=80-85 MPH 4cylinder one 2nd gear=50-55 MPH at redline.

It had more torgue but reved up so fast and had to change gears so fast it was hard top race.

!!!!!!!! you ran 2nd gear up to 85mph?!?! that's nuckin futz man!!! lol... my 5.0 will outlive yours by... a long time!!!

and as far as the 4 banger trans.. if you're going for a daily driver car -- its good, and i've also heard good things... however, you seem to think you've got a good amount of power... do you have any numbers for your car? hp/tq?? if you've got a lotta power, i'd advise against a 4banger trans..

85 in second gear isn't even Redlining in my car. With the 2.73 it doesn't Redline till about 90MPH. I though Mustangs were for driving hard.
