So i had a popping sound when ever i decelerated, i had an O/r x-pipe w/ maganaflows. But was so annoyed by the popping i forked out 300 + labor for cats. They guy said he couldnt do an x pipe w/ the cats so i said go ahead and put an H.
It sounds nice but it still freakin pops. iam at a loss. The popping is not as loud but now it seems to do it almost all the time. what can i do that wont cost another 400 dollars.
I am almost ready to sell the ****er and get something not as picky.

your firing order could be wrong.........mine did that when my firing order was wrong and it sucked.

is the popping coming from the tail pipe?? or is the metal tubing to the back of your heads undone?? because when decelerating, that can suck in a LOT of air and make a popping noise, like REALLY loud--- i know from experience

damm im glad i dont spend money cause of dumb ppl.

popping thru the exhaust from letting off or between shifts is from in properly tuned setup. my notch did it and all i had to do was play with TPS and the timing along with the idle. since then its no longer rich and hasnt popped.

You meant improper? Just wanted to make sure Mine pops when I decelerate and I love it :P I got 12* timing with 93 octane, going to 14* soon, maybe it'll fix it?

i hate the popping. So should i set my timing to 14 deg.

my notch is running at 11* any more and i get ping cause of the high carbond up motor. but hell low 13s and stock. what you expect
