no wonder car was running bad....
Well I got tired of replacing **** and guessing so I got the car diagnosed this morning. The ODB 1 computer brought up like 11 codes. 4 from the O2 sensors, 4 from the MAF, and 3 from the EGR. So it turns out the egr valve is broken along with the egr sensor, and the MAF sensor is also broken.

haha thats what I would do, but my dad for some reason just wants me to get it fixed. They are just going to fix it there, should be done by the end of the day. I told my dad it was 880 dollars and he didnt even care . It's very strange that he agrees to pay for it still lol, not like him.

more than likely there is only 1 part broken or not working right and they are just screwing you. i would bet that there was just a piece of carbon stuck under the egr or a piece of lint on the maf. my dad fixes cars for a living and 90% of the time with fords thats what it is but it gives those codes and says they are bad.

RE: no wonder car was running bad....
the last couple weeks ive been spending a lot of time fixing stuff on it, so he doesn't want me to fix it. I'd be glad to just fix it myself, but he just wants me to get it fixed there so i will be happy with it. Plus i'm broke and jobless right now, so I wouldn't even have the money to fix it myself. This is off topic but anyone interested in 3 17 inch pony rims, a MAC CAI, or a mac o/r x pipe? lol

Hey! thanks for the compliment on the nice 5.0 we have but sean, if your dad wants to pay for the mechanic then you should let him do it, it seems that your dad wants to see you ride your pony again. Good luck....
