Electrical Nightmare
Ok at first i thought i was burning oil but then i reliezed the oil was from cylinder washdown from running so rich.The car is a 88 5.0 i changed the EEC harness to an 89 or 90 i cant remember but I am getting no comunication to the processor with my scan tool has anyone ever changed the harness and did they run into any problems like this it runs good but extremly rich. ok hold on , you put a maf harness in , was you 88 a sd by chance ? if thats the case , which scan tool , the plug in one that beeps out the codes , make sure the terminals are clean first , then you may have to trace them back to the pcm , pins 46,17, 48 i belive , <edited><editID>n2o44</editID><editDate>37989.8063657407</editDate></edited>

not really, its just every time something messes up on somethin im workin on it is an electrical problem. electronics can be good (ie computers, tv, ****) but they have their place, and IMO its not in cars (besides the ignition system). </P>
