My Friend Has Got A 5.0 HO Motor, He Just Told Me Today. So I Was Thinking About Buying It, But He Said Hes Got An Automatic Transmission But I Think Its An AODE. So I Was Wondering What All Kinds Of Transmission Would Work In A 1991 Mustang Lx 5.0 Without Having To Do Modifications. Any All Help Is Greatly Appreciated, Thanks

Any ford 302 transmissions will work. Just a matter of finding a yoke to fit the drive shaft.
I got a Lx stand and converged it to a 5.0 i bought a trans out of an LTD and just needed to find the yoke and it mounts up just fine.

The AODE is not the transmission that came in 91's. They came in the 94-95's. You can do it but its a pain in the butt and not worth to do with a stock transmission.

The AOD came in 91's any lx has AOD trans....do you even know what AOD stands for???? It dosent really matter just a diff type of trans...like the C4 or T5's.

If you read the post you would of realized that I never said that lx's didnt come with AOD's. I said that no car before 94 came with a AODE. He asked what kind of trans will he be able to put into his car without doing any modifications to it and I was saying that the AODE is going to take mods toget it working right and and its not worth all the work that you have to do for a stock transmission.

Okay Thanks Yall I Appreciate Your Help. I Think The Biggest Problem Im Going To Have Now Is, It Was My Cousins Car & He Bought A 65 Ford Pickup To Restore, & He Used My Motor, Transmission, Wiring Harness, & Computer. I Bought The Car After He Had Already Took All Of That Out, & The Motor THat My Friend Had That He Wanted To Sell Me Is Fuel Injection. Would It Be Hard To Turn That Fuel Injection Motor Into A Carborated Motor? Also He Found A C4. Thanks Again

Changing EFI 2 carbed isnt that hard b/c you dont have to mess with all thous dame wires and computers.
