do up the suspension with some 90/10 struts and 50/50 rear shocks and some drag springs, lower control arms, some sticky tires, and like quick says, you cant be afraid of breaking it.

if your limit is 2500 why not get some gears and a vortech supercharger, or a nos kit.

you could probably get a decent h/c/i combo for that price.

It's going to take some money but it can be done on a budget. First I would do gears (4.10s), full exhaust (headers, mid pipe and a nice catback), and a 3000 rpm stall (Quik's got a great one for sale for a great price). That's going to drop more or less half a second of your ET. About now you're going to have traction problems, go with some rear control arms, some sticky street radials (nittos, mickey t's...) drag shocks and drag springs. I'm guessing between the two things you'd drop about 1 second off of your 1/4 mile times, which stock (depending on your elevation) is probably mid to high 14s maybe even mid to low 15's. If you have more money, but don't want to spend a bundle at one time, get some bolt ons 1.7rr's, MAF, TB, under drives, K&N filter (or a CAI, they show about the same results but the K&N is cheaper), some racing stickers (just kiddin ), and get rid of some of that un-needed weight like your back seat, smog (AC if you rarely use it). I'd love to sit here and spend your money all day but I won't.

........... cheap without nitrous.....
well, now you have eliminated all possibilites available to you.

the cheapest thing for you to do is a set of gears and sticky tires, try 4.10's and you might see a 13.90
otherwise, especially w/ an aod, it's gonna cost you.

w/ 100 shot of nitrous, street ires and 3.73's w/ everything else bone stock i had a lx 'vert go 13.60's
but it went 15.10 on motor alone and gears
