Default Exhaust choice

Here's my dilema I plan to put flow master mufflers on my 5.0 in the spring. I plan to leave to the stock cats and 2.25 pipes now here's the thing I cant choose between the super 40 or 40 standard I like them both but I am more partial to the super. But I would like to year from guys who have ethier of these two on their 5.0 and get some feedback. I like the way you hear that rythym that the super 40 has where you swear you can hear the fire of each individual cylinder. But I'm not sure if it's right for my 5.0. I have heard that the standard is louder at lower RPM's and I would rather it not be overly loud at low RPM's as I don't want to draw unwanted attention from our friendly local mounties. Also if I'f I install a K&N cold air intake will the sound change?

Its not worth putting new mufflers on your car if your going to leave the cats on there..Trust me you won't be able to hear the engine..Just a suggestion...Louder is better, faster, meaner, and just do it!!!!

Example.....

but if you do then go for originals... louder is better. and i had them on mine and it wasn't as loud as i tho't... so i upgraded to headers and O/R pipe. now it's plenty loud but no cop has stopped me yet.

there was a time where the nut between the cat back system and the O/R pipe fell off and there was a gap about 2 inches wide... man that was loud. i wich i could've kept it like that but i thinki would've been stopped then[:'(]

The K&N intake will not change the sound of your exhaust if thats what you are asking. It will change the sound of you stock intake. Its a nice souding whistle. Basically just sounds like a tube sucking in air. Sounds great though.
