I'm 16, I bought the car with my own money that I had worked my **** off for, I bought the car like 6 months before I even got my license. I learned alot about driving a v8 car and that they can get you introuble. Also with a "nicer" and "faster" than the average teenager's car, I had an even greater deal of respect for it and do so to this day.

Get him a 6. Insurance alone is gonna bankrupt you! Plus it has some power, and he can get used to it. WHen he turns 18, trade him up to a V8!

Im 18 and got my 5.0 at 16. No problems since, some warnings but no big deal. If you can be somewhat responsible and steer clear of snow you will be fine. I split the cost with my parents, yea insurance sucks but its worth the cash not to have a wussy v6 hah.

Mine is just a tad more at 89 a month, if i had better grades it'd be better but thats another story, and 89 is dirt cheap for a 5.0 i beleive

i bought my 91 gt at the age of 18 but i had a 76 ranchero with a hopped up 460 when i was 16 (still have both) and now im 21. i use to get into alot of trouble with my cars. you gotta learn respect for the cars you have. you should get him some pos and then tell him when he gets enough money then you will go half on a 5.0. when he drives that pos hell really respect the 5.0 cause he knows if he wrecks it then hes back to a car like that.

I bought my Capri 5.0, "same basic thing as a stang," when I was 17, and had spent 2 years looking for it, and paid for everything. So I always think twice about what I am about to do in it. I guess the general concencuse is if you think he is responciable enough, and if he is willing to pay for it, than ya go for it..... My vote is also for a 94-95 stang......
