Just Got A 1994 GT
 

Just went out and bought a 1994 Mustang GT AODE. It's my first car and I absolutely love it!! Pearl White with black leather interior. 113,000 miles, great shape, some small things wrong with it but nothing major. Its stock with some 2 chamber flowmasters and I think its got a 3.73 gear in it. I was wondering what mods I could do to it to get some more power out of it. I'm on a limited budget though. I'm still in high school and working a part-time job. Let me know your input on this. Thanks!

Thats seriously what i've been thinking about. I don't know whether to go with shorties or long tubes though. I'm gonna be buying the off road H-pipe soon as well as the headers.

Make sure you have some good tires for the rain on it and be careful in those conditions... especially with 3.73's in it.
Save the rest of your money for gas.

94 mustang gt .... good choice you have one of the last 5.0 they stopped making them in 95 i think . they went to the 4.6 which is like the old 289 but with a heck of a lot more punch . the new 4.6 are very good motors and are very strong . i have a 94 5.0 with all the bells and whistles and i love it good luck with fixing up your stang . thanks alan

oh yeah i was kinda wondering if you had a pre 94 stang because your s/n says foxbody that was pre 94 just wandering ?

lol I made the name before I had a car, couldnt think of anything else so I just used that. I was planning on getting a fox until i ran into this deal.

Yeah I got a 94 Gt and I have a lot of fun with it but I learned a lot of the tricks and stuff the hard way like over spinning during the rain when I didn't want to. If you do decide to do something crazy with your car MAKE SURE its with no other cars in sight cause its not that easy to control when your new to it. As for mods just do exhaust and a CAI no point going much farther since the AOD will hinder a lot of performance and since you said you were on a budget. And the 95 was the last year of the 5.0 engine. Good luck with the car.

IMO I wouldn't change the headers until you change or port the heads. New headers with the stock heads are not woth the cost to get 5hp. Get the o/r h-pipe. Next I suggest getting a better intake like a 94-95 Cobra intake or a Edel, but you'll also have to get the elbow with the edel. You already have gears, and the stock TB and MAF are fine for now. Maybe a shift kit for the AODE or some pulleys.

Nice pick up! I just bought a 95 GT vert and I am in the same boat as you. Im trying to learn more and more about our stangs before I go out and buy anything new on it! I plan on doing a routine tune up before I go buying after market items. Good luck with the car!

I have a 95 gt auto and i just put pulleys and CAI on this weekend and it made the car more powerful above 3000 rpm. I would definitely say get the shift kit it makes it soo much more fun to drive. If the car doesnt have lowering springs you may want to do that too, made my car handle a lot better. Hope this helps!
